The following tables contain 2008/09 property tax information for Wisconsin cities, villages, and towns.  The information covers property taxes levied in December 2008 and collected in 2009.

The municipal tax is the total amount levied by the municipality for municipal purposes.  The percentage change is the increase or decrease over the prior year, and the ranking refers to this percentage change.

The net levy includes all property taxes levied in the municipality.  This includes the levy for the local school district(s), technical colleges, county, municipality, special districts, and the state.

08-28-09 Due to incorrect data from the Department of Revenue, the Municipal Levy information for the city of Eau Claire was inaccurate. The municipal levy should have been $30,855,710.98 instead of $31,755,710.98, and the percentage change from 2008 should have been 7.1% instead of 10.2%. The municipal tax rate should also have been $7.35 rather than $7.57. These changes have been made to the tables below.
