New WISTAX Guide Makes Legislator Contact Convenient
Order Your 2007-08 Legislative Directory

MADISON—It’s 2007; do you know who and where your legislators are? The 2007 Wisconsin Legislative and Congressional Directory makes it easy to identify and get in touch with your Wisconsin and U.S. representatives by putting contact information at your fingertips. The new guide, recently released by the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance (WISTAX), offers citizens information at-a-glance, alleviating the "dig-n-search" aspect of participating in government.

The 12-page directory lists all members of the 2007-08 state legislature and other constitutional officials. This easy-to-use publication features individual maps of the state’s 33 senate districts, their underlying assembly districts, and the communities that comprise them. In addition, each legislator’s party affiliation, address, phone number, and e-mail address are easy to find, as are the state senate and assembly committee chairs, legislative leaders, and service agencies. A map showing Wisconsin’s congressional districts is included, as well as contact information for the congressional delegation.

The WISTAX legislative directory is intended to encourage individuals to participate in government. The guide is particularly useful to citizens whose municipality lies in more than one assembly or congressional district.

Whether you want to discuss a pending proposal with your representative, or just brush up on

your civics literacy, the new directory serves your needs. It is published biennially by WISTAX, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary of service to Wisconsin citizens. WISTAX is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to public-policy research and citizen education.

To order, send $1.75 (includes sales tax and shipping) to WISTAX, 401 North Lawn Ave., Madison, WI 53704-5033. For information on the substantial discounts available for bulk purchases,
